Did some damages to the front bumper of my car today. LoL. Not visible, though. Those common after-bump scratch beneath the bumper. Hmm.. I'll send my car for a car wash tomorrow after Chemistry & Mathematics paper. Sigh. I'm confident about my statistics, but not sure about Chemistry. Doing some last minute revisions on some crucial chapters now. It won't be sufficient for sure, but at least it'll help me in parts that I'm weak at.
There's this hype about a toll-free road at Bandar Mahkota Cheras, & how the concessionaire for the Cheras-Kajang Highway, Grand Saga, had been trying to prevent road users from accessing the road. In other words, the toll-free road had been closed down by Grand Saga, leaving road users with no choice but to use it's highway. Using the company's highway means.. income, right? And so, the residents got fed-up with the fact, they removed the road-block & accessed the road at their own free will. What's the point of the existing toll-free road if it were to be closed down by some toll company that just wanted to make money? On the 27th of May, 2008, the toll company strikes back by placing a 6-feet high barricade made of concrete blocks to prevent access into the road.
The next day, residents gathered to remove the concrete blocks, and this is where the toll company comes in again. They hired gangsters to attack anyone that goes near the barricade. Some were seriously injured & hospitalized. The police came after all the gangsters were gone. Even worse, the police & FRU (Federal Reserve Unit) even surrounded & attacked some of the residents. You may click HERE to see the photos of those who were assaulted. I'm dissappointed by how our government works, especially the police, practicing brute force on innocent civillians. What a waste of tax money. What is the point of having police & FRUs when their purpose of existence is to protect the civillians, but practising the opposite instead? The barricade is not completely removed that night, however. They were taken down the next day & the road is reopened. Not sure how long that'll last, but I'm positive that the toll company will surely do something about it.
