The Remedy

I don't really have the mood to blog right now, but still.. I'll have to update my readers with news about me. Something just happened, & everything is just not right for me. I feel so empty. Yet, as I've once said, the pain of a thousand needles piercing through my heart can be well-hidden & masked by a smile on my face. Let's move on, I'm sure none of you guys would wanna listen to me whining anyway.

It was my uncle's birthday, exactly 2 weeks ago, on the 15th of June. A celebration or a small party was organized & carried out at Xenri D'Garden Terrace, a Japanese cuisine restaurant at Wisma Hap Seng. Flipped through the pages of the menu, the food there isn't cheap by any means. A set of 12 pieces of sushi for about RM 50+ - RM 60+, if I'm not mistaken.

Although the prices of food & drinks there are a bit steep, the place is, well, undescribable & unexplainable. I'll let the pictures do the talking. And oh, Xenri is opened by a not-too-far-related cousin of mine, & it's associated with Elken. Interesting.

The garden in front of the restaurant.

Main entrance.

The interior design. I love the carvings on the wall, right behind the food preparation section.

Appetizer. The first dish of the day. A small piece of tofu with scallop on it in a small bowl on a big white plate. I took a glance at this, & I was almost disappointed by the tiny size of it, but the taste definitely did not let me down. Appetizing appetizer, I must say.

Next, soup with mushroom & clam or in Cantonese, "Shiong tong la-la.". LoL. Nahh, this one tastes better than that. By a million times.

Red wine with Japanese food?? No, never. They don't go together.

Everything RAW!! Salmon, sashimi & uh.. Not sure what they call that anyway. LoL. Perfect for raw-food lover.

Oyster omelette with cheese.

One of the best of the day.

Tofu, again, but this time with shark fin.

They have a name for this, but I forgot. Anyway, it's still Teriyaki Katsu Don, named differently only because of the sauce used. As a Teriyaki Chicken Rice fan, this is probably one of the best in town that I've tried.

Noodles with half-done egg & prawn spells C-H-O-L-E-S-T-E-R-O-L.

The dessert, last of the list. Green tea pudding with red beans & strawberry. Sweet.

Of course there's something special for the birthday star of the night. A plate of tofu with bird's nest & abalone was made specially for my uncle.

Didn't get the chance to take the picture of the abalone. Too bad so sad.

The food at Xenri was good, but not really a good value for money as they were a bit overpriced. But it was truly an experience to dine there in the welcoming & warm, classy atmosphere. Recommended for Japanese food lovers who wants something out of the ordinary or fusion cuisines.

What else? My car, perhaps.

Huh? O.O

Hmm..

Yep. New headlights. Alrite that's it. We'll move on. O.O

Now, my parents just went nuts recently; they've spent around RM 11k plus on a TV & a refrigerator. A 50-inch LG plasma TV & a 4-door Sharp refrigerator. Madness. What's wrong with them? I have no idea. None at all. I've been their son of 19 years, I've never ever seen their craze for such a big TV. Never. Can't wait for the latest original Transformers 2 : Revenge of The Fallen DVD to be released, & then I'll watch it on the new TV.

Too big, simply too big for a family of three.

I have to open my eyes wide open to watch TV now.

The sheer size of it..

I suppose that's about it for today.. Hmm.. I'll update my blog some other time when I'm free, most likely after my exams, after the 10th of July. I'm back to my emo self, again. Sigh..

Remember The Time

A dedication, a tribute to Michael Jackson, The King of Pop who passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009. I've never revealed that I am and will always be a big fan of Michael Jackson, did I? Yes, I am. His sudden death was pretty much mysterious & it was ruled out as cardiac arrest. We'll never know whether there was foul play involved, but an autopsy is being performed & we shall soon get the news.

R.I.P, M.J.. Oh, and also, Farah Fawcett. For you guys that don't know who is she, please Google her name. Rest in peace. Your absence will always be felt by your die-hard fans all over the world.

I Wanna Be With You

First of all..

Heheh, just something that Chan made the other day when we were having breakfast at Red Island. Sweet.

Went Seremban with my bunch of friends on Friday, what a trip. Left K.L. early in the morning, reached there at 7.30 A.M.. The main purpose of that trip was to visit Kati & escort him back to K.L.. Erm, yeah, escort. Sounds weird, eh? Went for a breakfast at a mamak stall, then we drove to the beach. Yeap, Port Dickson.

Hmm.. Morning view?

Random~

Random~

Hmm..

There's this mood, this atmosphere about going to the beach early in the morning that I love about..

Trust me, they're brothers.

Petronas pipelines? Who cares.. That's Kati, Adrian & John On in the background, by the way.

As emo as it's master.

We went Malacca after that, to Jonker's Street.. Yeap, the food haven for Singaporeans. It's not surprising to see so many tourists there on a Friday. Hmm..

Don't mind me jumping between topics, here's a pic & video on Papi the puppy, just to update my blog readers on the mischevious little brat.

Hmm...

Papi the puppy playing & biting my socks.

Uhh... Rather emotional now.. Any reasons? Maybe.. Plenty of reasons, but they all lead to the same thing. What should I do? What must I do? What can I do? I don't know.. Papi, are you hearing me out...? In my life, it seems that love is the only thing that depresses & makes me emotional. I know I've said this millions of times before, but yeah, I'm tired of my life. I'm tired of being depressed. I wanna break free. I wanna feel that breeze in my face once again. Is it possible? I hope so. I think it's possible. But I don't think I will ever achieve it. Oh well..

Alrite, cut the crap. I'm getting straight to the point. You know that feeling, that familiar feeling of knowing that something is going on behind you, but yet you're forced to keep an eye shut, say nothing, act like a fool & pretend as if nothing happened? That is exactly how I feel right now.

I'm not happy.

Nobody's Home

9/6/09

Finally, the exams are over after a gruesome month (May/June). And guess what? I'll be registering myself for the compulsory July examinations tomorrow. Sad, right? I only have a month to prepare before the big shot, the finals.

Anyway, changed the air-filter, as I said. And I also got a better deal, as I said. RM 195 for the air-filter, not bad. Well, for ya'll that don't know what is an air-filter, here's a picture to guide you out of your confusion. The standard air-filter in Myvi is made of cotton, the one I'm using now is made of aluminium.

Many things happened today. It was raining heavily this afternoon, and a tree fell in front of the gate of my house. I couldn't get into my house, so I just parked my car outside & climbed over the gate into my house compound instead.

I was about to open the electric gates when I saw this.

Fortunately, there wasn't any car that was parked at the side of the road..

Close-up.

Hmm...

The view from the porch.

My super-maid then cleared the way with a saw; she hacked away the whole tree into small sections and placed them on the roadside.

And the latest surprise of the day... I found a puppy!! Yeah, I found a puppy by the roadside near the guardhouse at my area, & I've decided to keep it. I'm planning to take it to the vet tomorrow for an injection, flea bath & grooming. The puppy is so badly infested with fleas; it's all over it. There were actually 3 puppies present at the guardhouse, but I chose this one because I don't want a black dog, & I don't want a puppy with wounds. The other puppy was very badly wounded; I can't tell whether it's a severe flea infestation or a dog bite, but it definitely looked very bad. It had an open wound at it's back; a hole where I actually saw the backbone of the puppy & the flesh on it, and there were fleas on the flesh IN the wound. Not to mention that there's a gap between the skin & the backbone & flesh, making it look even worse. I urged the guard to take that puppy to the vet, and he agreed. That was one of the nastiest wound I've ever seen.

Alright, back to my new puppy. A picture here, I'll take more soon.. Just be patient, ya?

Sending you to the vet tomorrow.. No more itchings for you, alrite?

10/6/09

Sent the puppy for flea removal at Section 5, it was itching & scratching itself throughout the whole process. Poor puppy..

I'm not sure why, but it seems like the puppy enjoys sleeping under the car, either my dad's car or my car. If I were to let it loose, it'll quickly run & hide underneath. More pictures coming in..

Behind the tyre.

Lazy pup.

Just what the hell is it doing there..?

Yeap.. That's about it. More pictures on my new puppy, next time. Hahaha.

An old song for today..

Second Chance

Okay, so here comes another post. I've received too many complaints from friends saying that I'm not updating my blog as often as I used to, and that I should update regularly in order to keep them occupied; at least they'll have something to read when they're bored.

Yes, yes.. Definitely. Something interesting. Erm... Alrite, I really don't know what's with my luck lately, but I'm getting tons & tons of great offers. Seriously. The phone I recently bought, you guys won't wanna know exactly how much I was offered. It wasn't a bargain, it was WAAAAAAAAYY lower and cheaper than a bargain. And now, I've accepted yet another offer, which was (and STILL) pretty good & shocking.

Now, you guys might remember that incident where my car skidded on the expressway back from Genting, and that I've to change all 4 of my tyres after that due to extreme wear & tear. It's about RM 700++ for that set of 4 Michelin XM1 tyres, not to mention that there were hidden costs as well, which brought the total up to RM 900+. Oh wait, I haven't shared that part with you guys.. But that's what happened. My car skidded, I almost died but God wants me alive.

And now.. About 2-3 months after the incident, I'm given another offer which I cannot and will not refuse, cos' it's just simply too tempting. A set of 4 Dunlop Formula D 01 195/55 R15 tyres AND a set of 15-inch alloy sport rims, for less than half of what I paid for changing the rubbers few months back. YES!! An upgrade from 14 to 15-inch sport rims, and new shoes for more driftings!! LoL. Nah, ain't gonna do driftings anymore. But yeah, I was quoted such a nice price, I just can't decline the offer. You guys know that I'd do anything to my car for it to look good & perform at it's best, right? Better looking new rims are lighter and new tyres with new threads, what else could I possibly ask for?

My new 15-inch rims. The Brembo brake caliper cover is an add-on. XD

And I seriously don't know where would I get such a great bargain with a free gift thrown in; the brake caliper covers.

195/55 R15 85V. Can't see it? Nevermind. XD

Of course, I'm happy with the deal. And I've finally fitted a set of tyres that performs better in the wet. Great.

There'll be another upgrade to my car very soon; I'll be replacing the stock air-filter with a drop-in K&N air-filter. Yes, it's my first and will be the only performance upgrade that I'll ever make to my car. The filter costs RM240, but I know I'll be able to find a better price somewhere else. I just...know.

Oh yes, Jonathan Ngau, Nicholas & Shaun Ng.. Ya'll finally made it to my Friends & Links list. Hahaha.. Sorry about the delay, I was too lazy to update that section as I'll have to edit at the layout section if I want to add more links to that section, but I did it anyway. So.. Welcome. Heh.

I'll update some other time, alrite? Here's Second Chance, by Shinedown. Good song, good song.
