Grounds For Divorce

For the past few days I can't seem to focus on anything else except for one question; how much does a friendship worth? Is it still a wise move to do all your best to keep a friend who might not appreciate what you've done? Maybe, but then you have to start questioning yourself as well; in this age & time, would everything still be worthy? I hate the answer to this, but let's face it. Friendship now doesn't hold the same meaning as it once did a decade ago or so.

Why am I saying this? Just look around you. Observe the people around you. What are they doing? Gossips, bad-mouthing, backstabbing.. You name it. All the sort of shits they're willing to do to make themselves look good & noble. And guess what? They are your friends, too. These infidels.. They deserve no better treatment than being torched & burned alive. Even Hell is too good for them.

Many times I find myself stumbling over the same situation over & over again; is he/she worth forgiving? Will he/she repeat his/her mistakes again? Well then, I just got my perfect solid answer lately. Forgiveness shouldn't be given more than once. Why? Let me explain.

Think. In a situation where you've just got backstabbed by a friend, what would you do? Maybe you'll confront this friend. Or maybe you might do the same back to him/her. But let's say you made the smarter decision & you chose to confront him/her, which indirectly portrayed the fact that you knew about him/her backstabbing you. What would this person do? Seek for forgiveness? Maybe. And let's say he's forgiven. Let's say you really don't wanna lose this friend of yours. How can you possibly tell that he/she won't do it again?

At this point, it all comes down to your trust. How much do you trust him/her in the first place to forgive him? And if you do trust this person a lot, then what would you do when he did it again? Do you still forgive him? I saw myself forgiving someone twice, but then this person wanted to prove me wrong. Twice, my friend, is more than enough to erase all my hopes & trust on you. You've been a good friend, but that's as far and as much as you can go and as you are. I'm truly disappointed.

I've learned this lesson the hard way. It also somehow affected the way I appreciate my friends. Some friends are worth being treated better than others, some are not. You managed to camouflage yourself within the people I trust. And this is the end of it. You know what they say about backstabbers like this; they put on a front that appears accommodating, loyal, and yes, even sacrificial. Then, without warning, they raise their knife, and by the time you see the glint of the blade, it's almost always too late. It is a little too late. Too late for you to repent. And because there is a larger awareness that transcends time and space, an awareness is available after death.

Be careful. Re-evaluate the points that you are looking for in a friend, and sort them out. Keep what you need, get rid of those you don't. It is difficult, but it can be done. In all likelihood, backstabbers are quite pleasant and supportive on the surface. But that's a mask. Remember, that friendship is not capable of ending, for if it ends it is only because it never existed.

And oh, of course. Never ever try to become a hypocrite by attacking other people personally if you wish to protect yourself. It's a waste of time, and you're dragging yourself down to their filthy level.

And I thought I could trust you.

Pathetic.

Let Go

I'm not sure what I'm doing. Sure, we all have our own problems once in a while, & I'm not exempted from this. Yeah, some matters going on. Some.. things.

It actually bothers me so much till I can't actually sit down & start studying for Chemistry. And I wonder why do they introduce Chemistry in M.D.? It doesn't make any sense to me at all.. Well perhaps it does, but I just can't see the point of it.

Alrite, alrite.. Here's a confession. I... I never really liked Chemistry. No. I just can't find my interest in it. Some things happened in the past, & my Chemistry teacher was really harsh with me. So.. Yeah, I don't wanna talk about it.

And all these distractions right now doesn't help in any way to stimulate my already resisting brain into studying Chemistry. The on-going problems that I'm having, my sudden crave for CSI N.Y., & the whole holiday thing.. Can anyone please put me back on track & at least allow me to complete my Chemistry examinations first?

I don't know what to do.. Tried forcing myself to study, but it just wont work.

Frustrated.

Heads Will Roll

Kentucky Fried Cheryl.

OK, done.

Now, tell me how stupid is the education system here in Russia, or at least in my university. For those who thought Malaysian education system sucks, think again. This is a real story, real experience by myself.

Went to the dekanat today, or Dean's office, to get permission to sit for some papers that I missed when I went back to Malaysia last month. Sounds OK to you guys? Let me tell you all exactly what happened, & the stupidity of the system here.

1. In order for sit for missed papers from last semester, I will need the Dean's approval. Sounds fair. But wait, there's more..

2. The Dean's office is open only on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, from 3 PM to 5 PM.

3. Waited in line for 2 hours for the Dean to settle 5 students with the same issue before it's my turn.

4. OK, so I've gotten the permission to sit for 5 papers. After I've passed these papers, I will have to return to the Dean's office (which indirectly means the repetition of No. 2 & 3) to receive a signature from him, certifying that I've passed all 5 papers just so that I can sit for the 6th and final paper, which is a ridiculous paper of 5 multiple choice questions. The questions are absurd. Seriously.

5. After I've passed the 6th paper, I will need to return to the Dean's office, AGAIN, to receive a signature & stamp from the Dean as a verification that I've completed my papers.

Crappy, isn't it? A friend that had a pending paper went to the dekanat with me today & queued for two hours just to be told to come back on Friday. Not to mention too, that the Vice Dean's attitude is crappy & sarcastic as hell, & that he's always late to the office. And oh, they have this 'Russians first' practice too. It doesn't matter if the line is 2 miles long; as long as you're Russian, you don't have to queue.

I Try

What's the other word that rhymes with the word 'Human'? : Hypocrisy.

When was the last time any of you guys saw Michael Jackson's Moonwalker on the shelves in front of a video shop?

When was the last time that ya'll heard Michael Jackson's songs being played at night markets, or pasar malam?

When was the last time that you walked into a pirated DVD/VCD/CD shop heard & watch Michael Jackson's music videos being played & his best selling DVDs, VCDs, CDs being stacked up & posters of him stuck in front of the store?

Recently. Or more precisely, after he's dead.

You see, this is the thing with us. I've said this once too many times; we're all hypocrites. We appreciate things after they're gone. We miss them after they're gone. We love their songs after they're gone. What for?

Fuck ya'll hypocrites. I hate them, I fucking hate them fucked-up hypocrites. People who made harsh comments on M.J., and loved him after he's dead. People who hated his song when he's alive, & started listening to it after he's dead. People who boycotted his merchandise when he was accused of child molestation, & bought them after he's dead. Fuck ya'll hypocrites, burn in hell you motherfuckers sons of bitches.

Same goes for any other artists. They will only be truly appreciated for their contribution to the music or film industry after they're dead. So you guys better make a bang, some big news before you die. At least you'll be remembered for something good when you're alive, so that people wouldn't appreciate you only after you're dead.

Enough with that. Let's continue with something techie; the things that I've spent on with nearly RM 4,000.

This:

A 1 TB Seagate FreeAgent Desk External Drive.

This:

A laptop.

From Gateway, now a subsidiary of Acer.

Gateway ID5802Y.

Reflective LCD screen.

Dolby Surround Sound.

HDMI supported.

Core 2 Duo, Vista Home Premium, Nvidia GForce G105M.

Chromed sides; desirable design. As seen, plastic protector not removed yet.

And this...:

Norton Internet Security 2009 & Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007.

Close to RM 4,000. Just like that.

1 TB Seagate External Drive = RM 339.

Gateway ID5802Y with 2 GB RAM Upgrade = RM 3340.

Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007 OEM = RM 200.

Norton Internet Security 2009 = RM 85.

Why do I need a 1 TB external drive? Simply because I need more space for my videos, MP3s, photos & documents.

Why do I need a new laptop? Because my previous laptop suffered multi-sickness & passed away peacefully on the 25th of June, 2009. Post-mortem indicates that NEC Versa laptop of mine died from RAM corruption & dead motherboard.

Why do I need Microsoft Office? Because I NEED IT!!

Norton Internet Security Anti-Virus? I need the protection for my new laptop.

Okay, specifications of my new laptop.

Core 2 Duo 2.40 GHZ, 3MB L2 Cache, 1066MHZ FSB, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320GB SATA, running on Vista Home Premium.

The laptop is designed by Pininfarina. What I'm confused about & don't understand is, what is the big Italian automotive-designing firm doing designing a laptop? I suppose they're better off designing cars like Jaguars, Ferraris, Alfa Romeos, or even Rolls Royces. Anyway, Pininfarina did quite well in adding chromes to the sides & the curve on the speaker ramp. Splendid.

Updates done. Next post will be up very soon as exam's gonna be over in a few days' time.

Change The World

Felt kinda fucked up today. Presentation was OK, but my partner screwed it all up. The font colour blends with the background colour, making them hard to read. Everything was prepared the night before, & it was my duty to present more & prepare the printed materials.

Luckily I came across this song, this very familiar song that dates back to my childhood era. The 90s? Maybe late 80s, I don't remember. Heard it playing at Cold Storage & it instantly put the smile back on my face, cos' it just brought back so many sweet memories. Here's the lyrics to it, hope ya'll enjoy it as much as I do.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I could reach the stars, I'd pull one down for you
Shine it on my heart, so you could see the truth
That this love I have inside, is everything it seems
But for now I find, it's only in my dreams
That I can change the world
I would be the sunlight in your universe
You will think my love was really something good
Baby, if I could, change the world
If I could be king, even for a day
I'd take you as my queen, I'd have it no other way
And our love will rule, in this kingdom we have made
Till then I'd be a fool, wishin' for the day
That I can change the world
I would be the sunlight in your universe
You will think my love was really something good
Baby, if I could, change the world
Baby, if I could change the world
That I can change the world
I would be the sunlight in your universe
You will think my love was really something good
Baby, if I could, change the world
Baby, if I could change the world...
I'd Come For You
Second of the seven posts promised, but with some extra updates on what happened today, so fucking funny that I'm categorizing this under 'Jokes':
Kati came back late last night, & he wanted to send his car to P.J. for a service. Chan followed as well, so after Kati left his car at the workshop, we went around searching for food. I used the Jalan Klang Lama way as it's one of my favourite route to leave the Midvalley area. And as I turned it at a traffic light into Sri Petaling, there was a roadblock set by JPJ (or Road Transport Authority). We weren't worried as we're very sure that they are checking for those seating at the back without seatbelts, and we're all buckled up earlier. But, one of the officers still asked us to pull over to the side of the road, and another requested for my license. I'm not sure what have I done to the police & security guards in my past life that I have to be blocked every single time I see them. Anyway, it might be caused by the modifications done to my car. It was obvious that the officer first looked in to check the seatbelts, and then walked around my car to check for illegal modifications. And I'm sure I done none, those smoked headlamps are LEGAL and on the new Myvi SE, chromed door handles are LEGAL, sport rims LEGAL (are you kidding me?), no HID on my headlamps. But the officer was particularly interested in my rear lights, and he stared at it a while before telling me that it's ILLEGAL. Yeah right.. I sat in the car, & he said that he will write a RM 300 summon and revoke my license for the lights. And he kept repeating it again & again, yet I just sat there & stared right into his eyes.
"Apasal lampu belakang bukan original? Saya sekarang tulis saman dan tarik lesen kamu ya. Saya tulis saman ya. Kamu nak kena tarik lesen ke? Nak bayar saman RM 300 ke? Saya tulis saman ya?".
Yeah, that's a common tactic for them to ask for bribes. Nope, I did not back down. Those lights are legal, you can even find some pimped-out rear lights sold with a sky-high price tag at the Perodua service centre. As he knew he won't be able to write a summon based on a non-existing 'crime', he returned my driving license & asked me to replace the lights with the original ones as soon as possible, part of the drama again. And he doesn't seem to learn either, still with his, "Itu sahaja ke? Terima kasih pun tak ada?". Go screw yourself, in my heart.
We reached a restaurant at Sri Petaling shortly after that, and after I've parked my car, I went to the machine to pay the parking fees when a DBKL officer rushed up to my car & quickly wrote down the car registration number. See how ridiculous it is? Chan & Kati quickly called the officer, & he scurried away after realising that we saw what he was doing. He obviously saw me parking the car & getting down to pay & place the ticket in my car before leaving. Unless the government is going to put a ticketing machine at the side of every single parking space available, what he did was stupid. TWICE in a day...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Just one more moment, thats all thats needed.
Like wounded soldiers in need of healing.
Time to be honest, this time I'm bleeding
Please don't dwell on it, cause I didn't mean it

I cant believe I said I'd lay our love on the ground
But it doesnt matter cause I've made it up forgive me now
Everyday I spend away my souls inside out
Gotta be someway that I can make it up to you now, somehow.

By now you'd know that I'd come for you
No one but you, yes I'd come for you
But only if you told me to
And I'd fight for you
I'd lie, it's true
Give my life for you
You know I'd always come for you

I was blindfolded, but now I'm seeing
My mind was closing, now I'm believing
I finally know what just what it means to let someone in
To see the side of me that noone does or ever will
So if your ever lost and find yourself all alone
I'd search forever just to bring you home,
Here and now this I vow

By now you'd know that I'd come for you
No one but you, yes I'd come for you
But only if you told me to
And I'd fight for you
I'd lie, it's true
Give my life for you
You know I'd always come for you
You know I'd always come for you

No matter what gets in my way
As long as there's still life in me
No matter what, remember you know I'll always come for you

Yes I'd come for you, no one but you,
Yes i'd come for you
But only if you told me to

And I'd fight for you
I'd lie, it's true
Give my life for you
You know I'd always come for you

No matter what gets in my way
As long as there's still life in me
No matter what, remember you know I'll always come for you

I'd crawl across this world for you
Do anything you want me to
No matter what, remember you know i'll always come for you
You know i'll always come for you

Castaway

Sigh.. Boring day again. Right, EeWon SMSed me just now & asked what do I think of the Genting trip they planned the other day. I was like, huh?? Genting trip?? ? Nobody told me anything about any Genting trip, and yet she told me that I'll be the one driving all of them up there. Hello, I might be one of the best Genting driver you can find (chewah), but I do have my own dignity & I'm not your full-time chauffeur. Can't you guys inform me earlier about it? Goodness.. I will take my sweet time to think about it but for now the answer is a strict no. Sorry to disappoint you guys, but Genting's Takumi here needs a break.

The grand opening of the new Jusco at Setiawangsa was on the 5th of December, but I only had the chance to visit it today. Not bad, it kinda resemble Ikea or the Curve on the inside, with a fountain in front of the mall. I'm guessing that it's too costly for them to ventilate the entire mall, so the shopping centre is partially air-conditioned and partially fan-ventilated. Fan!! The same fan I had at home on the ceiling of my dining room. =.= Will explore the entire place soon..

Castaway, by Benny Benassi. Please don't listen only to Satisfaction, this is good too!! The bass is just nice in my car, especially with the amplifier switched to full range.. Huhu..

I'd Come Back For You

Went to Choa Chu Kang Plaza for a movie last night, The Day The Earth Stood Still. It's not that good actually, didn't live up to my expectations. No, not at all. I was looking forward to something like The Day After Tomorrow, but some universal-degrader-metallic bugs let me down. Nevertheless, Keanu Reeves portrays a cool character. It's a shame how the movie is spoilt with a storyline without climax. There is a climax actually, at the very end of the timeline. Low ratings from me, possibly the lowest I've ever gave; 3.1 out of 5 stars. Any lower ratings than that from me, you'll know that it's not worth watching.

I won't bother to summarize the movie either, just go read it from any sort of movie review site, Wiki or such. It's a waste of time, totally.

I brought my camera with me of course, & took some pictures. Something happened at McDonalds after the movie, but I'll get back to that later. Let's start from the MRT station.

Petir Rd. station.

The MRT isn't really new to me, but I discovered something rather funny. Well, just like all other Malaysians, I'm so familiar with the RapidKL LRT service that the stereotype thought of all LRTs are on rails is blended together into my mind. Ya' guys see that? WHEELS!! The MRT is more like a network of buses running on a higher ground. I wonder what will the trams look like if 20-inch sport rims are fixed onto them? COOL!!

Yes, I was in a game shop. Quitting my gaming life doesn't mean that I can't visit game shops, right?

Games.

Games.

More games.

The game shop, from the entrance. I don't think a shop so 'concentrated' with games like this one is common in Malaysia, not to mention that they sell only genuine, ORIGINAL games. Wake up Malaysians, stop piracy. We all know that paying RM 100-200 for a game is absurd & only promotes pirated DVDs & CDs to be released, so why don't the government take a smarter move, bring down the price?

The cinema. Erm.. The focus is actually the black-dressed girl in the right corner of this picture, but zooming in & snapping only her picture will be too obvious & awkward. Ohh hottie, what are you doing here alone? xD

I tried hard to get this picture to compare the prices of food from one of the largest fast-food chain in the world, McDonalds. And then, this petite little young lady employee came up to me & said, "I'm sorry sir, but you're not allowed to take pictures in here.". I was like, huh?? Which law in the world of McDonalds that doesn't allow anyone to take picture in the premises? Interesting law, I'd say. I almost wanted to say it back in her face, "I'm sorry miss, you're hot & most probably would look good naked on my bed, makes a perfect fucking mate but no thanks, with that kind of attitude I'll have to pass.".

Alrite, although there are few more movie reviews that I wanna do, I fear I've been using the laptop for too long. So here's a song to end the post for today; I'd Come Back For You by Nickelback. Yep, from their latest album, Dark Horse.

No Fate

Warghh!!! Damn, yesterday I placed my pair of jeans on my bag, with my handphone in the pocket. My aunt mistakenly thought that it's to be washed, and then put it into the washing machine. My Sony Ericsson G502.. T_T I've tried everything I can to bring my phone back to life, even giving it CPR, but I just can't get it to start. New phone lor, a lauya Samsung B110. Zzz.. Luckily I've got a camera now, so there is no need for me to get a camera phone. Bought the new phone for SG$88, or about RM 200. Sigh..

Now I've got 2 equally-lauya phone. Zzz..

So friends can now SMS me your names & phone numbers, again. Zzz.. How troublesome. I've lost 3 phones in 1 year, and that's VERY unlucky.

Anyway, there is something I wanted to share that will surely piss my Malaysian peers off today. What? Of course, our never-changing fucked up ISP, TMnet. Look at this picture below and you'll understand why am I so angry with Streamyx & it's slowness.

You're Not Alone

Sigh.. I've asked most of my ex-classmates, about half of them can't show up on Monday night. All dumb excuses, some of which are really stupid such as "No girls coming lah, no fun.", "I have to take care of my sister.", "So far lah..", "Parents don't let.", "What? We're the only girls? Other girls not going meh? Then I also not going la..". Lameass excuses.

Did nothing much today, except napping almost the entire day, leaving my bed only at 7P.M.. Then I started calling them jackasses 1 by 1, listening to each & every of their dumb excuses & their efforts to make themselves look innocent & free to escape. MY ARSE!!! They will never understand the frustrations of being an organizer. I wonder if I'd see a day where an outing or party is being planned, & I'm there as an invited guest, not the mastermind of the plan.

An Honest Mistake

I'm tired, & I'm blogging. It's hard to type when I'm partially dozing off, my eyes half closed. Re-conditioned the front disc brakes on my car to reduce vibrations while braking. I saw a dead rat there while walking to 7-11 to buy a drink. That rat, it died the most dramatic death ever. Heh. I suppose it either died of a natural causes or due to diseases because there are no signs of injuries on its body.

Look!! So dramatic!! LoL. It feels like I'm starting my own version of CSi with a rat as the first victim. Hahaha.

Nobody contacted me yet about the dinner tomorrow night. See, this is the kind of attitude in my friends that I hate. None of them will call to inform whether they're going or not. It's like they're some sort of VIP or something. Then when they missed out on the fun at dinners or parties or any outings that I've organized, they'll start blaming me for their absence, accusing me that I did not tell them about it and to some extent, flaming & cursing me. This time, I'll fight back instead if that happens. If it takes a punch or two to wake you up, I'm ready to deliver.

Made a video on CSi: N.Y., I thought a few scenes from an episode was funny. Hoho.

It's unusual, especially during the holidays, but I've not played a single DotA game for about a week or so. I used to be insatiable whenever I start a game. Now? Let's just say that my addictions are gone. Hahah.

东风破

Pardon me for the late post; I 'overnapped' due to extreme exhaustion. I shall share what I've been through today.

Went to the medical education consultant at Taman Danau Desa in the afternoon for the Indonesian medical university thing. Indeed, I was offered a spot at University Sumatera Utara in Medan. For me, it's either that I do my medical degree at RSMU (Russian State Medical University), or I won't be going anywhere else for the certificate. I'd rather choose a different course than going to some neighbouring country for the same piece of manila card. Let's just say I have my own reasons, and I will not disclose any of them here. So I argued with my mom again about where I should go for my medical course, and finally she had to go along with the majority; even the consultant there agreed with me that Russia should be the primary choice. Russia it is, then.

Petrol price is at it's lowest point in almost 3 years, now at RM 1.90 per litre. This is a lot better than what we previously paid (RM 2.70/L), although it's still 30 cents above the global price. Anyway, FOMCA (Federation Of Malaysian Consumer Associations) stated that they would like the minimum fuel price to be at least RM 3 per litre to encourage & promote use of public transport. Hello?? FOMCA is supposed to protect the consumers, not harm their wallets!! Even a fifth grader can tell that it's stupid to increase the fuel price as it will inadvertently raise the cost of our daily needs & neccessities. 'Minyak naik harga, semua benda lain naik harga, gaji tak naik naik.' True. A retard was recently interviewed by MX's News and even he can speculate that we will be paying more for a plate of wantan noodles, and that is unlikely to change even if fuel prices were brought down. Nah, just joking about the interview part. If FOMCA really cared, I wonder why are they doing this? We shall sit back, relax, & watch the politic comedians in our country entertain us.

It's actually 2:30 A.M. in the morning now; just came back from Nicole's house. 9 episodes from the latest season of CSi: Miami, Russell Peters' Red, White & Brown stand-up comedy show, Jason Mraz's We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things and Imogen Heap's Speak For Yourself. All burned into a 4.7 GB DVD & passed to her. Mission accomplished. Heh. Looks like the CSi fever is contagious & spreading really fast..

东风破 [Dong Feng Po], by Jay Chou. Enjoy, enjoy.. And oh, I don't think I'll be leaving the country anytime soon, but if it happens it'll be a last minute immediate decision. Just in case you visit my blog the next day & found me blogging all the way from Singapore. Haha.

C.H.E.R.R.Y

Okay, I really need to blog about this right now.

First of all, thanks to all my blog readers, it finally hit it's 10,000th visit and it wouldn't be possible without the never-ceasing support from you guys. Actually, that's not the reason why I'm blogging now, in the middle of the night only about 2 hours since my previous post. My mom came home just now and told me to get 8 passport-sized photographs ready, 2 copies of the front page from my passport, 2 copies of my SPM results and secondary school testimonial. I think some of you guys already know where this is heading.

Yes, I've been offered a spot in a medical university in Indonesia. Do not ask me what is the name of the university, because I had the least idea of what's going on right now. My mom sent an application form to the university about half a year ago without my knowledge & I was only informed 2 months ago about some sort of preliminary examination that I'll be sitting for. What the heck?? Okay, it's not that I don't wanna further my studies. Being offered a spot is a good thing, but don't you think that I deserve to know more about the university, courses offered, stuffs like that? My mom is acting without my consent by applying for it before informing me. Shouldn't I at least be allowed to do some research on the university?? Let me know some shit!!

I feel so fucked-up now. Imagine if the uni that I'll be going does not offer any of the courses I want. I FUCKING HATE DENTISTRY!! I don't think my mom knows what it's like to study something that's entirely out of my field of interest.

Maybe what my dad said is true. I should just choose a shorter course of my liking to lower the cost if I'm ever going to study abroad, and then come back and start working. Law, perhaps? I'm the only son in the family, which means I'll be the sole breadwinner when my parents are old. I might change my preferences. Medical studies is no longer the primary option for me as most of the courses offered are expensive and time-consuming. Law comes in first now, followed by medical. I'm always interested in music, but I have no basics in it. I wonder how did all those remixes came up last time? Hmm.. I'd most probably pursue a career in music if I'm able to start studying & learning from scratch, which is kinda impossible. Social studies? Maybe.

If any of you have any suggestions, please do let me know. I'd be more than happy to discuss about it and be able to rethink about what course I should be taking next.
