Grounds For Divorce

For the past few days I can't seem to focus on anything else except for one question; how much does a friendship worth? Is it still a wise move to do all your best to keep a friend who might not appreciate what you've done? Maybe, but then you have to start questioning yourself as well; in this age & time, would everything still be worthy? I hate the answer to this, but let's face it. Friendship now doesn't hold the same meaning as it once did a decade ago or so.

Why am I saying this? Just look around you. Observe the people around you. What are they doing? Gossips, bad-mouthing, backstabbing.. You name it. All the sort of shits they're willing to do to make themselves look good & noble. And guess what? They are your friends, too. These infidels.. They deserve no better treatment than being torched & burned alive. Even Hell is too good for them.

Many times I find myself stumbling over the same situation over & over again; is he/she worth forgiving? Will he/she repeat his/her mistakes again? Well then, I just got my perfect solid answer lately. Forgiveness shouldn't be given more than once. Why? Let me explain.

Think. In a situation where you've just got backstabbed by a friend, what would you do? Maybe you'll confront this friend. Or maybe you might do the same back to him/her. But let's say you made the smarter decision & you chose to confront him/her, which indirectly portrayed the fact that you knew about him/her backstabbing you. What would this person do? Seek for forgiveness? Maybe. And let's say he's forgiven. Let's say you really don't wanna lose this friend of yours. How can you possibly tell that he/she won't do it again?

At this point, it all comes down to your trust. How much do you trust him/her in the first place to forgive him? And if you do trust this person a lot, then what would you do when he did it again? Do you still forgive him? I saw myself forgiving someone twice, but then this person wanted to prove me wrong. Twice, my friend, is more than enough to erase all my hopes & trust on you. You've been a good friend, but that's as far and as much as you can go and as you are. I'm truly disappointed.

I've learned this lesson the hard way. It also somehow affected the way I appreciate my friends. Some friends are worth being treated better than others, some are not. You managed to camouflage yourself within the people I trust. And this is the end of it. You know what they say about backstabbers like this; they put on a front that appears accommodating, loyal, and yes, even sacrificial. Then, without warning, they raise their knife, and by the time you see the glint of the blade, it's almost always too late. It is a little too late. Too late for you to repent. And because there is a larger awareness that transcends time and space, an awareness is available after death.

Be careful. Re-evaluate the points that you are looking for in a friend, and sort them out. Keep what you need, get rid of those you don't. It is difficult, but it can be done. In all likelihood, backstabbers are quite pleasant and supportive on the surface. But that's a mask. Remember, that friendship is not capable of ending, for if it ends it is only because it never existed.

And oh, of course. Never ever try to become a hypocrite by attacking other people personally if you wish to protect yourself. It's a waste of time, and you're dragging yourself down to their filthy level.

And I thought I could trust you.

Pathetic.

Boulevard Of Broken Dreams

Stereotype. What else can I possibly blog about on this one? I've blogged about it before, & I'm here again to express my dissatisfaction about stereotypical thoughts.

It has gotta start from where I'm living now. I'm so distraught by the fact that whenever people think of Russians, images of mafias & crimes are perpetuated & projected directly into their heads. Come on. Russia is not that bad, although I do admit that crime rates are sky high and they aren't exactly that friendly. But hey, that doesn't mean that they're all born with evil intentions.

And if you would just pay a little bit of attention into the media, you'll realise what's going on. Films, especially. I've noticed this for quite some time. For countless number of times I've set foot into the cinema, expecting great action films. And guess what? Hey, the bad guy is Russian again. Casino Royale? Le Chiffre, treasurer of a Soviet-backed trade union. Quantum of Solace? Yusef Kabira, Kazan, Russia. Universal Soldier? General Boris, Russian. The Spy Next Door? Poldark, Russian. Even the latest, most anticipated sequel to Iron Man, the Iron Man 2; Whiplash is a Russian.

I did not went back to Malaysia just to catch myself sitting in a cinema with the antagonist speaking Russian. Sigh.

Yet another ranting post of mine. Sorry if I've offended anyone with what I've said here, but sometimes things are not what you think they are. Do absolutely not believe in any rumours that people are spreading, not until you get the first hand information yourself, not until you've experienced what it's really like. Or perhaps, I should say that I'm starting to blend in & get used to the life of an
inostranets (иностранец) / (foreigner). Gotta learn how to live life the Moscovites' way.

Hahah, just for laugh gags. Someone commented on a torrent page, and a fellow user responded in a rather funny way. Hope this makes your day..

I Try

What's the other word that rhymes with the word 'Human'? : Hypocrisy.

When was the last time any of you guys saw Michael Jackson's Moonwalker on the shelves in front of a video shop?

When was the last time that ya'll heard Michael Jackson's songs being played at night markets, or pasar malam?

When was the last time that you walked into a pirated DVD/VCD/CD shop heard & watch Michael Jackson's music videos being played & his best selling DVDs, VCDs, CDs being stacked up & posters of him stuck in front of the store?

Recently. Or more precisely, after he's dead.

You see, this is the thing with us. I've said this once too many times; we're all hypocrites. We appreciate things after they're gone. We miss them after they're gone. We love their songs after they're gone. What for?

Fuck ya'll hypocrites. I hate them, I fucking hate them fucked-up hypocrites. People who made harsh comments on M.J., and loved him after he's dead. People who hated his song when he's alive, & started listening to it after he's dead. People who boycotted his merchandise when he was accused of child molestation, & bought them after he's dead. Fuck ya'll hypocrites, burn in hell you motherfuckers sons of bitches.

Same goes for any other artists. They will only be truly appreciated for their contribution to the music or film industry after they're dead. So you guys better make a bang, some big news before you die. At least you'll be remembered for something good when you're alive, so that people wouldn't appreciate you only after you're dead.

Enough with that. Let's continue with something techie; the things that I've spent on with nearly RM 4,000.

This:

A 1 TB Seagate FreeAgent Desk External Drive.

This:

A laptop.

From Gateway, now a subsidiary of Acer.

Gateway ID5802Y.

Reflective LCD screen.

Dolby Surround Sound.

HDMI supported.

Core 2 Duo, Vista Home Premium, Nvidia GForce G105M.

Chromed sides; desirable design. As seen, plastic protector not removed yet.

And this...:

Norton Internet Security 2009 & Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007.

Close to RM 4,000. Just like that.

1 TB Seagate External Drive = RM 339.

Gateway ID5802Y with 2 GB RAM Upgrade = RM 3340.

Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007 OEM = RM 200.

Norton Internet Security 2009 = RM 85.

Why do I need a 1 TB external drive? Simply because I need more space for my videos, MP3s, photos & documents.

Why do I need a new laptop? Because my previous laptop suffered multi-sickness & passed away peacefully on the 25th of June, 2009. Post-mortem indicates that NEC Versa laptop of mine died from RAM corruption & dead motherboard.

Why do I need Microsoft Office? Because I NEED IT!!

Norton Internet Security Anti-Virus? I need the protection for my new laptop.

Okay, specifications of my new laptop.

Core 2 Duo 2.40 GHZ, 3MB L2 Cache, 1066MHZ FSB, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320GB SATA, running on Vista Home Premium.

The laptop is designed by Pininfarina. What I'm confused about & don't understand is, what is the big Italian automotive-designing firm doing designing a laptop? I suppose they're better off designing cars like Jaguars, Ferraris, Alfa Romeos, or even Rolls Royces. Anyway, Pininfarina did quite well in adding chromes to the sides & the curve on the speaker ramp. Splendid.

Updates done. Next post will be up very soon as exam's gonna be over in a few days' time.

Feel Good Inc.

Yeap, feeling good is what most, if not, all the youngsters of today are seeking for. Clubbing, smoking, alcohol & drugs. But before I get into the main topic, there's something that I wanna share with all of you..

Yeah, I bought a new phone for myself. I was offered a deal, actually.. The original price for the phone now in the market is about RM 599, but someone I know offered me a rock-bottom price, which I will not reveal as it might cause some discomfort to my blog readers.. xD

So, what is it? It's a 2.0 MP camera flip phone, with an additional VGA camera on the inside for 3G video calling, as well as a memory slot supporting up to 4GB of Micro SD. In this case, however, a 1-GB Micro SD memory card comes with the package. Yep, it's the not-so-new Motorola RAZR MAXX V6 Ferrari Limited Edition. Package includes the usual stuffs; a 12-month warranty card, battery charger, headphones, phone-PC cable, a Motorola keychain and of course, a Ferrari Red Limited Edition pouch.

So what the Motorola team did to the ordinary RAZR MAXX V6 was, they stuck a Ferrari Scuderia logo on to the top front of the phone, a Ferrari theme with special tones, & TONS of pictures of Ferrari cars. I'm not kidding.

Sorry for the blur image. Picture taken with my W980's crappy 3.2 MP camera.

And oh, they printed the word 'Ferrari' on the back of the phone, too.

One of the most prominent feature of Motorola's RAZR series would be the 'thickness' of the phones. Erm, it's supposed to be slim, but the difference of the thickness between this phone & Sony's W980 is..well, it's hard to see. Maybe around ±0.1 mm?

Side view.

Frontal view, typical Motorola RAZR design.

I shouldn't complain much about the phone as the price is unreasonably low, and it's NEW. Acquired this phone as a 3rd phone, after my W980 and B110, Hotlink & uMobile. This one here will be carrying a new Celcom sim card. Inform me if you want my Celcom number. Hahaha.

Okay, enough about my new phone. Back to the main topic..

Clubbing, anyone?

It's weird, but even in my late teen venturing into my 20s, I might possibly never understand the fun of nightlife involving hard, thrashing music, cigarettes, alcohol & drugs. What's the fun in it? Not to mention the things that I've seen in places like this; girls getting groped in the dark, strangers or sometimes even friends spiking drinks, couples getting high & getting it on in the toilet, they actually set this perception in my mind that clubbing is an activity for the jobless & lifeless. No offence to friends of mine who are avid clubbers, it's just what I think.

But seriously, why? Why clubbing, smoking, drinking & drug abuse when the cash could be better spent for something else? An investment, perhaps? Everything in a club is over-priced. Hard liquor, especially. A bottle of J.D. or Chivas would easily fetch over RM 200-300 in a club, almost double the price paid for the same thing in most supermarkets. Point one clarified; it's not cheaper to drink at a club. And you risk getting your drinks spiked too.

The essence & atmosphere of clubbing usually consists of heavy cigarette smoke, heavy alcohol smell, loud music, & people dancing on a floor smeared with vomit. Let's just say that a girl were to go clubbing just for the music & dance.. I'm sorry, but I don't seem to be able to get this off my mind; I've seen guys, total strangers, grabbing girls in clubs, 7 times in a single night. I don't care what ya'll are going to say, I just wanna make my second point clear. Be careful, girls, if you were to ever set foot into places like this.

Third and the last point. Drugs are simply so common among clubbers nowadays. Ecstasy? Ice? Heroine in Perillys cigarettes? Some clubbers desperately seek ways to get high quicker & faster than simply drinking, they resort to drugs. Now, it's perfectly alright if they wanna spoil their own life by taking drugs, but it seems that they're also using it on their peers by secretly mixing drugs into their drinks or cigarettes. Drugs causes addiction & dependance, and when used in large quantity, they put one's health in risk.

I've seen shits happening to friends that I care about a lot, people around me who matters & means a lot to me, and I don't want more of them to get into these.

Angel

Alright.. As promised, the pictures after the fixing of the car.. Too bad though I didn't took any pictures of the 'after-crash', just didn't have the chance to do so. Camera wasn't with me, phone battery low, pathetic.

Anyway, it cost me roughly around RM 1.1k to get the job done. They've replaced the bumper, knocked the fender & hood, replaced the broken headlamp & resprayed the whole front of the car. So.. Yeah, it looked as if it just rolled out of the factory. New, shiny & flawless.

Good as new. The middle part of the bumper is now originally black; it's not sprayed black or whatsoever. Which means.. Only the sides are sprayed pearl white.

New front bumper.

The new, original, smoked SE headlamp does sparkle.

Haven't seen that gleam in a very long time. Welcome back, WRG.

Err...? LoL. This has got nothing to do with the accident.. Just showing off my subwoofer.. XD

Actually, I got my car back on Thursday, but I've delayed this post till today. Oh, and as for Tzu Woei & Jun Yew, I wish you guys farewell & best of lucks in furthering your studies at Kampar. Study hard, folks.

I've got plenty to talk about, plenty to blog about, but I'm simply feeling too lazy to type them out. Maybe in the following post, you'll find me talking about the youths today with their lifestyle; smoking, drinking, clubbing, taking drugs & so on. I don't know, I just felt that there're too many people around me that I care about that does all that I've mentioned. Disappointing, I know. But they just wouldn't understand. Label me as a old-fashioned person in my late teen, but I'll be raising the awareness to remind them young people that what they're doing now does more harm than good to themselves.

To be continued...

Defiance

Some things to share with my fellow bloggers & blog readers.. Some things that happened before I came back to this blog, and some things that happened DURING my return to the blog. Err.. Confusing? I don't blame ya'll for not understanding what I'm saying, cos' I don't understand myself either. LoL. Alrite.. First up.. David Archuletta's arrival to Malaysia on the 8th of April!! Yeap.. Drove all the way to the airport just to see him. Not my idea actually, Shenka was the mastermind behind all this. Well, together with Nicole, yes..

I don't wanna crap that much this time, just pictures & more pictures!! Pictures courtesy of Kresehenka Jaisi.. Thanks for the pics.

Nicole & Kreshenka Jaisi. The two madgirls.

See my definition of mad? The walkman was so far up above Shenka's head because there's hardly any reception at all at the airport, & she's dying trying to win the ticket to Archie's concert.. Alright, enough introduction of the two.

He's on Flight SQ118 from Singapore!!

Erm..

Live young, die-hard fans of David Archuletta, they call themselves the.. Umm.. Archangels?? Err..

That's the cutie that all the girls are waiting for at the arrival bay. Darn.. Why am I not born David Archuletta? LoL.

The police officers trying to prevent the fans from getting too close to him.....

Yet she managed to snap one IN HIS FACE!!! LoL.

He's literally stuck inside, & the manager & assistants were discussing with the officers for alternatives to leave the arrival bay without being trampled by hundreds of fans. Yes, everytime he walk past the entrance, those fans, GIRLS, especially, will storm towards him, just like a herd of mad cows hungry for sex. Err.. Okay, that's a bit exaggerating.. But whatever. Hahahaha.

He actually gets more protection than our Prime Minister, I believe. Seriously, those armed officers.. They're heavily armed, with submachine guns!! Madness..

Receiving the orders to move to another exit, I suppose?

A goodbye wave? Hmm..

Ferrero Collection, just some chocs that I bought for them girls.. Eheheh..

After Eight Thin Chocolate Mints.. The best mint chocolate that I've ever had in my life.. Seriously, if you're just as crazy about mint chocs as I do, then try this.

That's about it on David Archuletta. Hmm..

Now, moving on to the next piece of story that I have to share with ya'll. Also serves as a warning to all the robber/thief wannabes out there.

WARNING : Contains graphical contents that might be disturbing to some viewers. Viewers' discretion is advised. Skip the pictures and read only the story if you are hemophobic, or blood phobia.

You see, there're just too many cases of robberies & thefts in K.L. nowadays, and the number of victims that ended up injured, seriously injured or dead, skyrocketted in the past few years. BUT, there're some pictures here.. Some pictures that I wanna share, to warn all the robbers & thieves out there that not all of you guys may escape what you did. Some of you would even end up worse than the victims, so.. Learn the lesson here, God gave you guys limbs and a healthy state of mind, so appreciate what He gave you, and learn to work with it, not to lie, cheat or steal.

Skipping all the crap, straight to the story. Now, last Thursday, there's an incident at Wangsa Maju Section 4 where two robbers were badly beaten up by the residents in the area, as they were allegedly accused of trying to rob the houses there. There were actually three of them, but one got away in a car with a boot full of parangs. One of them were beaten near the 'rubbish house' (you know, the kind of buildings that are usually available in flat, apartment or condominium compounds to store thrashes), while the other was chasen down to near a block where he was badly beaten. Some follow-up reports later on after the incident informed the residents that one of the robbers died in the ICU, while the other is still holding on to his dear life. It was bloody, really. Below are pictures of the scenes & blood stains.

Blood splatters.. Very little here, on the ground floor of a flat.

The blood splatters on the wall of the 'rubbish house'.

On the ledge near the drain.

More blood splatters on the road.

Blood, in a pool of rainwater.

More blood, in a larger & deeper puddle of water.

And.... The Holy Grail for the pics tonight!! Now, honestly. I don't know those black marks are dried pieces of brain or dried, dark concentrated blood. But the latter seems more possible. LoL.

So.. Guys, earn money the LEGAL way. Don't get into all these scam, robberies, theft & shits like that to spoil your own life. I'm sure you've got family members, right? What if something like what happened to them, happen to you? What will your family members feel?

I hadn't really updated you guys on the upgrades done to my car, right? Well.. Nothing much, really. Except a set of HID 8000k H4 fog lights? LoL. Decided to replace the entire set with a HID kit after the original bulbs went burst. Yeah, I know it's illegal to retrofit HID kits.. But as long as I did not misuse it, right? Err.. I switched them on only when I'm going into very, very dark areas, such as the road leading to my house, and it kinda illuminates everything around the car. Hmmm...

Yes, it's blue.

What else? A movie preview, perhaps? Defiance, with Daniel Craig as the lead actor.. Ahh, a nice movie. It's based on a true story of what happened to the Jews during the German invasion. Some may find war movies like this boring, but I find it rather meaningful and touching. It's history, anyway, and we should learn from our histories to prevent repeating the same mistake that we did in the past. 4 out of 5 stars, it's a pretty decent movie.

Watch this one here, warheads. You'll never regret it.

Oh, and the soundtracks are pretty good, too. Here's a short track, a piano piece actually, right at the end of the movie when the credits started rolling in. I admire whoever's piece of work this is. Too bad I can't find out the exact title of the track. Naming it myself, perhaps? It's kinda short, and the volume is VERY low as I extracted it directly from the movie. You might have to crank up the volume on your speakers a little to listen to it.

Defiance, from Defiance OST.

Good day, folks.

Closure

No, no.. The title doesn't mean any blog closure or anything. Just a song that suits my mood right now, so well that I might just keep it running for quite some time.

So.. Yeah, I'm back again. It's been almost 2 months since I last blogged, and many things happened in this 'short' period of time. Some life-threatening, some heart-breaking. I shall share some with my folks, I'll keep the crispy & juicy part for later on when I feel that it's time for me to finally confess it.

Okay.. The life-threatening things that happened? Well.. Not really life-threatening, it's more like I put my own life in danger instead. On one of the nights I drove to Genting, I forgot which night was it but it was a really cool & clear night.. Nobody would expect a heavy downpour later on at the foothill. At least not me. So after spending some time there, I decided that it was about time that I should leave. Somehow on that night I was driving really slow. And I mean SLOW. Some people consider 90 KM/H in the rain as 'kinda fast', but it was the slowest I ever drove on the highway. As I've recalled, there's not a single time the needle was static at 90 KM/H for more than 5 minutes in my history of highway-cruising. It's always 120 minimum to 160 average. Maximum? 183 KM/H, so far the highest possible speed my stock engine could bring me to.

Alright, cut the story with my high-speed achievements. Nowadays I've been a very safe driver, at least I can tell you guys that my speeding days are over. As I was saying, I drove at 90 KM/H in the rain on Kesas Highway, and I was driving at the left most lane, which was actually the 'turtle-lane' for me when I was a speed devil. Upon reaching a corner, a slight turn to the left actually, I braked a little to reduce speed. As I was steering my car trying to keep it in the lane, I felt the rear-end of the car swerving to the right. By the time I realise it, my car had already made a 180 degree spin, going against the traffic flow. I was literally facing the traffic for a second or so, and it's kinda scary.. Just imagine yourself being in the middle of the highway, facing cars coming your way at probably over 100 KM/H. It was a short moment that I saw a Kancil coming towards me REALLY fast, and I lost sight of it after regaining control of my car. Well... Not really. All I heard was a crash from the right-rear of my car, and I thought I was hit by the Kancil. I managed to glance at the rearview mirror for fractions of a second, and I saw the Kancil losing control, slamming into the road divider at the right side of the road. I continued driving all the way back to Taman Melati, stopped at the roadside & got down to check my car; not a single scratch. So yeah, I'm extremely lucky that night, God was on my side. Otherwise I'd be dead by now.

Checked my tires the next morning, all 4 of them are shredded & small pieces came off them. Replaced all of them with a set of new Michelin tires, costed me about RM 980. And instantaneously I was broke. It was extreme; for the following two weeks I could barely make ends meet, having enough money only to last me for the days that I have classes.

So, second incident. I almost got robbed one night when I was at Nicole's place. We were sitting in my car, talking while she's playing with her dog with the car door on her side wide open. Then I noticed two motorcycles going up and down the road in front of her house, and I just have this bad feeling that they're up to no good. My heart was telling my left hand to release the handbrake & let the parking gear hold the car so that it will not start rolling downhill. The third time the motorcycles came, I noticed how they slowed down & got unusually close to my car. There were 4 of them, one of them leapt off the bike, opened the door on my side while holding a knife. I did what I should, I dragged the gear lever down to D & slammed the pedal to the metal. The door knocked the guy over & closed by itself, I just shouted at Nicole to close the door. I sped off, told her to call her family to lock all the doors & ensure that everything is alright before going to the nearest police station to make a report.

P.S: I kept my cool & calmness in both incident. Remember, when shit happens, panicking is not going to help.

Yeah.. Many things happened.. There are more actually, but I just don't feel like typing them all out. Something nice to share, perhaps? I went for the Shinjuku Incident thingy at Pavilion on 31st April where Jackie Chan & Daniel Wu made their appearances there. Although it was just for a short while, I was glad that I finally had the chance to see them live. Yeah, I'm a big fan of Jackie Chan, he's my childhood hero & favourite actor all the time. Daniel Wu? Of course, a talented young actor that truly caught my attention..

The stage.

The host & hostess, not to mention that the hostess actually looked like my kar jie Grace.. o.O

Jackie Chan & the heartthrob, Daniel Wu.

Photography session.

Jackie waving to the fans.

Few words from Jackie Chan on the new movie, 'Shinjuku Incident'.

Safety message from him? LoL.

Do watch the movie.. It's good, at least for me.. A lil' bit of violence here & there, but still.. 4.5 out of 5 stars..

Well.. I suppose I shall end this post here. Many thanks to those who are still loyal, checking my blog every single day for the last 2 months, hopelessly hoping that I'll update it.. I did now, and guys, I'm still alive & kickin'.. Here's the lyrics for the song today..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let's just be honest
I'm broken in two
Half of me is still here
The other half's with you
I didn't want this
Thought I did, it's true
Wish I could rewind now
I swear I thought this through
And I'm so fragile now
Be careful what you do, girl
And every word somehow
Is making me hold on to you
I don't like this time thing
What I need is closure
Remember my red tie
White business card
Brown hair and pink skies
First glance was a start
You and your colours
Tell me what they mean
To me they meant beginnings
Better yet everything
And I'm so fragile now
Be careful what you do, girl
And every word somehow
Is making me hold on to you
I don't like this time thing
What I need is closure
And I'm so fragile now
Be careful what you do, girl
And every word somehow
Is making me hold on to you
I don't like this time thing
What I need is closure
Remember my red tie.....
